Shaheen Runs Again.
The Associated Press reported on September 14 former that New Hampshire Gov. Jeanne Shaheen will resign from her post as director of the Harvard Institute of Politics to pursue a 2008 Senate run against incumbent John Sununu (R-NH).
'08 Withdrawal.
Prof. Graham Allison, director of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, co-authored an op-ed entitled, "No choice -- withdrawal starts in '08," in the LA Times on September 11, arguing that the U.S. military lacks the manpower to sustain current troop levels in Iraq.
Giuliani Gives Props.
"'Aren't these questions great?' he said as he got up to leave the diner here. 'This is terrific. We could be at the Kennedy School of Government.'"
